Recommendation from one satisfied client

Since getting into the business Jeff has been my go to guy for all of my photography needs. I’ve had Jeff shoot everything from 3 bedroom cape cods to large million dollar + custom homes and everything in between. Jeff doesn’t just take pictures and hand them to you, he take the time to edit them where needed to adjust the lighting through photo shop to be assured you have the perfect shot. Jeff even managed to make me look like a million bucks in my business card photo!

The #1 reason I use Jeff is because he’s also a licensed realtor and knows exactly the type of photos potential buyers would like to see, and that is huge. He even goes out of his way to do some minor staging of rooms before taking a shot.

In my years of using Jeff as my photographer he’s never missed or been late to a photo shoot and my clients have always been thrilled with his work. If you want to take a chance, play the lottery. If you want great photos, choose Jeff Wolfson.

9th Juried Show of the Pastel Society of New Jersey

November 17, 2014 Leave a comment
Photos from the award ceremony sat. night in which I received one of the top honors, the Award of Excellence at the 9th juried show of the Pastel Society of NJ.
There were so many good works, that the judge extended the list of award recipients to recognize the efforts of the artists.  We should be encouraged by the love of the art as over 65 entries are in the show and it will be open to the public through the end of the month at Cranes Mill, 459 Passaic Ave., W. Caldwell – 9 to 5 p.m.

Jeff’s Paintings

On The Town

It was very exciting to capture the energy of Times Square with the graphic intensity of the advertisements impacting on the people. It was especially interesting to me growing up in New York and always being part of the Times Square experience and how it has changed through the years.

The most striking image should always have impact whether it’s strong lighting a graphic depiction of a subject matter, place, or person.  The painting has to grab you and make a statement.  The best images always convey a feeling, which
is always my goal.
At this stage of the painting, my challenge is whether to put more detail in people’s faces, or leave it the way it is with the focus on the late afternoon lighting; the sun coming from behind the trees, also bleaching out the sidewalk on the right hand side casting long shadows in the foreground.  I may simplify the leaves in the upper portion of the painting.

Getting Started

Hello my name is Jeff and I am an artist, a photographer as well as a Realtor. I have been creating art as long as I can remember but my education really started at Pratt Institute where I earned a BFA. I paint in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, pencil and charcol, design and make stained glass lamps and windows.  I am a professional photographer specializing in location, portraits and events.
I live in Verona with my wife, 2 great kids, Vicky our new dog, Millie the Cat, 5 cockatiels and the frog.
I am happiest when I am painting. Please check out some of my work, hope you all enjoy
