“Road to Cartaret” received a Merit award and came in 2nd
The Pastel Society of NJ’s artists’ reception at Studio 7 in Bernardsville, NJ on June 5th was a big success featuring the members’ pastel paintings. Awards were announced at the reception. My painting, “Road to Cartaret” received a Merit award and came in 2nd. The Best in Show award went to Beth Varkala for “Petit Fille” shown on announcement. The show runs through June 30th.

I’m in the final stages of the a painting. This is where “the rubber meets the road” and the paint meets the paper.
In this stage, the intricate details come into play and will either make or break the painting.
The reflections of the cars are like jewels and offset the massive overpass, creating a delicate balance.

On The Town
It was very exciting to capture the energy of Times Square with the graphic intensity of the advertisements impacting on the people. It was especially interesting to me growing up in New York and always being part of the Times Square experience and how it has changed through the years.
